I have trouble playing sound and video

Click on the speaker icon - you should hear the recording of the word "test".

  • If the sound has stopped working after a certain amount of time you have spent learning on the platform, it might be necessary to close the browser and launch it again.
  • Make sure the sound is not muted. Check if you can play the sound on different websites, e.g. YouTube.
  • Update your current browser to the latest version available.
  • Playing the recordings can sometimes be impossible because of the plugins installed in your browser. Information concerning this matter can be found further on this page.
  • Check if the sound works properly by logging in to eTutor in a different browser - for example Google Chrome.

I'm experiencing some problems with the functioning of the lessons

  • In case of problems with displaying the exercises within a view of a single lesson, you can reset the lesson, deleting all saved information concerning your learning progress. The Reset button is available at the bottom of the lesson view.

Solving problems caused by ad blocking plugins

Browser plugins such as: Adblock or uBlock Origin can cause problems with the learning system. Despite the lack of advertisements popping out on our platform, some of the plugins can react to certain words included in the course, such as "advertisement".

We recommend turning off ad blocking plugins while using eTutor or adding the site https://en.etutor.pl/ to the list of exceptions in the plugin. Alternatively, you can use a different browser installed on your computer, but it is necessary that it does not feature an ad blocking plugin.
